English homework

1)

If you got a point of view of something it is your opinion  about that specific thing. People got different points of view about many things. In The way up to heaven, by Roald Dahl, Mrs. Foster has lived her whole life serving her husband.  Mr. Foster thought this was right and that she should just be there to make him happy. But Mrs. Foster understands that a marriage shouldn’t be like that and leaves him alone even if his stuck in the elevator. They got a different point of view about how life should be.

2)

Concord is how the verb spells whether you write in singular third person or plural.

When you write it in singular third person you have to put on a plural “s”. So if the verb is connected to he, she or it, it gets an extra “s” on the end.

-       We play soccer (We)

-       She plays soccer (She)

3)

- Adjectives describe the actions more specific and give us a better picture of the scene.

            Example: beautiful, ugly and red.

- Adverbs can describe an action too, but got a wider meaning. The adverb say more about the verb then an adjective does. You got to ask more questions to adverbs to fully see the whole action.

Example: He runs slowly, today it is very worm outside.

4)

Vingo from “Going Home”: Vingo seems like an old man who knows what he has done wrong in his life and now got a second chance to make it up.  He got a dusty face and wears a suit that doesn’t fit him. That tells me that he has been in jail for a long time and not been able to get a new suit. He is now heading home to see if is wife can forgive him and he can start over. He seems like a quiet, but kind man.
